I was watching the news one night and they had a segment about a woman that tried her hand at a home based business. She complained that all home based businesses were a scams and they don't work.
Well I guess she didn't know that when you have a home based business that you still have to work! It makes me laugh when I hear people complain about, they tried to work from home and the business just didn't do anything, Are they nuts ? THE BUSINESS DIDN'T DO ANYTHING??
Come on, it isn't the business that didn't work, it was the person that didn't work the business!! A home based business is just that , IT IS A BUSINESS! and you have to treat it and work it as such. The business is not a person, it does not have legs or ears or a mouth. You do. If you have a home based business or a MLM, YOU have to work it, advertise it, get up and get out! Meet people. Call people.
I placed an ad in my local newspaper about a year ago, I got a lot of call backs. and I heard 1 main question. Is this a multi-level company (a MLM), a pyramid? OK, first lets talk about the MLM's. Most if not all home based businesses are MLM's, they are multi-leveling, people sign up and they are placed under the person who sponsored them. That's how they grow, that is how people make money. Multi-leveling is NOT a bad thing, people, It's how a lot of really big companies today started out. What is bad about mlm's are that there are a few people in them that are over ambitious, they push to hard and they make you feel like your being hammered into joining with them. I walk away from people like that, I don't need nor want to be hammered by anyone. But just so you understand, if someone talks to you about a company and you think it just might be a good thing but you aren't so sure about that person telling you about it, do some research. Check the company out, it could be a very good company with great products, and if you think you would like to give it a try call the company and talk with them, let them know how you feel about being hammered, they will find a sponsor for you that you can work with.
Multi-leveling companies are not pyramids, they are a whole different animal. First, pyramids don't have products, YOU are their product. You pay the person you got under and the money goes up and if you get someone to join, they pay you and the money goes up. The money goes to the top, Once their are so many people in, it stops and the people at the top make all the money the last rows, make nothing! So they are out, they made no money. That is why pyramids are illegal, They are scams. And they are still people out there are are still doing them, so be careful!
Companies like MaryKay, Avon, Tupperware, Shaklee, Amway and a few others that I don't know their names, are good companies. They are real companies that offer people the opportunity to have their own home based business, they have been around for a very long time and are well established, they have good products to sell. But they need people to join so that their business will grow. They are Home Based Businesses. Yes, you join the company under a sponsor, but when you join and you pay your investment, The money goes to the company and the person whom you joined under will get a commission for you joining. But it is the products that really makes the difference. If all you want to do is sell the products, that's great and you will make some money doing that, but if your dream is much bigger and you want your business to grow, you are going to have to find people to sign on under you and teach you them to do what you do, so that they can make their money too.
Home based businesses are fun to do, but they are a business and must be treated as such. You can do them part time when you first start, in fact that's is what is recommended. Because you are starting in at the bottom and you have to work your way up. But once you get to that one place where you are making money and all of the sudden you have noticed that you are making as much or more that your day job! It' is very exciting to know that you don't have to wait till your 65 to retire, you can quit your day job when you still have 20 or 30 more years before your reach retirement, Stay home with your family, get up in the morning dress for the office and walk from your bedroom across the hall to your office! WOW! What a great feeling, no stress!
I hope I have helped you understand that a home based business won't work if you don't work, But if you have a dream and you are willing to do the work, Your home based business will take you to easy street. And real home based businesses are not "GET RICH QUICK!" That is just to easy, You can make a good living fast if you a real go-getter, you can get your business going good within 2 to 3 months and I do know some people that really have done that but they are not rich by any means but they might be within the next 1 to 2 yrs if they keep up what they are doing now.
